USB-FIO

E-mail Print
The USB-FIO is a USB 2.0 compliant module that combines the flexibility of a FPGA with a standardized, platform independent USB 2.0 controller. This combination provides our customers with a high-speed data interface and/or control solution. This also allows RPA or our customers to create custom interface modules at a fraction of the time or cost associated with a 100% custom hardware design.

The USB-FIO module can be synchronized via an on-board programmable clock generator, an external clock input and/or an external trigger. This flexibility allows the USB-FIO module to interface with various hardware systems operating through a wide range of frequencies.  The USB-FIO hardware allows for a truly customizable, application specific hardware solution.  The user can take advantage of 96 TTL I/O channels for interfacing to external hardware.  The on-board 32MB of SDRAM can be used to virtually eliminate potential data loss associated with OS latencies.
